Shekh Rashid

Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum (Arabic: الشيخ راشد بن محمد آل مكتوم, styled HH Sheikh Rashid) (born on 12 November 1981) is the eldest son of UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum.

He was educated in Dubai at Rashid School for Boys and then attended Sandhurst Military Academy in the United Kingdom and graduated in 2002.

Sheikh Rashid is a well-known sports figure in the UAE and around the Arab world and beyond. He has participated in a number of international and local endurance rides, winning a number of laurels for the country.

His greatest achievement was winning a gold medal in the 2006 Doha Asian Olympics Endurance race in the individual results.

Sheikh Rashid was appointed the president of the UAE National Olympic Committee in 2008.
