Tommy Flanagan

Tommy Flanagan (born July 3, 1965) is a Scottish actor who has had roles in numerous movies.

Flanagan was born in Glasgow, Scotland, the middle of five children. When Flanagan was six years old, his father abandoned the family. He grew up in the rough Milton area in the North of Glasgow and has admitted to getting into some trouble, but says also that his mother Betty always kept him in line. In his early years, Flanagan worked as a painter, decorator, and disc jockey. He received his distinctive scars, similar in shape to a Glasgow smile, on his face after a mugging that almost left him dead. Once recovered, Flanagan saw no way of returning to his old life and, at the urging of his wife and friends, principally Robert Carlyle, he took up acting.

Flanagan worked in Carlyle's Raindog theatre for three years before being cast in Braveheart (1995). He has had roles in Face/Off, Sunset Strip, Gladiator, Alien vs. Predator, Sin City, Smokin' Aces, Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball, When a Stranger Calls, All About the Benjamins, The Last Drop and the mini-series "Attila." Flanagan also portrayed arms dealer Gabriel Schecter in the first episode of 24's seventh season.

He is currently a regular cast member on Sons of Anarchy, in which he plays outlaw biker Filip "Chibs" Telford.

Flanagan appeared in the episode "Headlock" of Lie To Me, aired in the U.S. on Monday, August 2, 2010.

he was in brave heart, as well as Gladitor, and agreed very cute in a scruffy way, but i was always attracted to scruffy looking men :evil:
