I'll certainly be in my element in March and April with new albums by The Kills and The Strokes.

I've given The King is Dead a few runs through now.. really nice album

^Really love this song - I keep getting drawn back to it

Kind of surprised this wasn't the lead single actually, but Down By the Water is pretty strong too.

99% sure that I've just heard my album of 2011. Marry me, Anna Calvi!

(For fans of Nick Cave, Jeff Buckley, PJ Harvey, McAlmont & Butler, Wild Beasts)

Yay, new Sparkadia song debuted on radio today

I saw them support Little Red last year, and fell in love with this song as soon as they played it.. been waiting for it ever since.

The hook sounds a bit like Baba O'Riley by The Who

This?

Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has posted a bizarre picture on Twitter that he claims is going to be the front cover of the band's new album.

The colourful image features a basketball player, a clown, a rainbow and a unicorn standing on a cliff-edge.

It's not 100 per cent clear if it's a joke or not.

My money would be on it being a joke

You can tell it's just an amateurish photo of a mural on a wall. But there have been worse covers..

So they've decided to use rejected Kanye West cover art for "Angles" - way to recycle, guys.

Julian Casablancas = troll?

Having just heard the album's lead track, I'm now very much looking forward to PJ Harvey's "Let England Shake"

And what the heck, here's another Anna Calvi tune...

I hope more artists start doing more beautiful melodies, not so much gagalike club songs
