I 'was' a musician (violin, tutored). Rose to first violin third chair at a regional chamber strings. First violin second chair at another orchestra. Haven't engaged in such activity in many years. did this when I was a teenager, of course.

Well, just as i expected from bzers!

For me, the platonic ideal regarding this activity was much more enticing than reality. It consumed enormous amounts of energy & time without delivering much intrinsic reward. Letting go of the instrument was one of the best things I did for myself. I was finally free of it. Liberated.
