Seen a few complaints in another thread that rock has died in the new millenium,
but I find this is totally untrue and this thread means to prove it.
Maybe some have this theory in mind, because rock is different than it used to be, not such mainstream huge bands to hit the charts,
but it is definitely there. Spread into different subgenres of course, but it has been like that before.
I still see important bands continuing to put out great records as well as there are plenty new bands of course to rock the scenes.
First example of a pretty new band with a recent song:

but see for yourself.

a live performance by 10 Years (founded in 1999)
Paralyzing Kings
from the album Autumn Effect (2005)

some vids by the band Year Long Disaster, which was founded in the 00's

The Sword (founded in 2003) maybe famous because of guitar hero, but they did a lot more great songs, here are some nice vids

Mastodon (since 1999) did some pretty wicked metal stuff
Blood & Thunder from 2004
& Sea Beast, same year

Danava, a psychedelic / hard rock band formed in 2003

the Arctic Monkeys formed my understanding of modern indie rock with their frist two albums:
Brianstorm live
Balaclava live
D is for Dangerous live
When The Sun Goes Down live
I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor live
Fake Tales Of San Francisco live
my fav. from the 3rd album:

The Mars Volta, anno 2001, produces prgressive rock
live

the Foo Fighters are an example of a career continued in this century, releasing even better songs than in their ealry days:

sorry can't link everything from youtube, not all of that is available in my country, yes it's a shame!!!

Rammstein are releasing material since the mid 90's, but they are not going to stop:

Mars Volta, Rammstein, Mastodon
I love them all!

Kylesa, since 2001
my fav song of them:
Hollow Severer:
To Walk Alone

Baroness, progressive / sludge, comparable to Mastodon, but less wicked
and my fav.

Disturbed released 6 albums since 2000:
a great cover of the Genesis original

Heaven & Hell (which basically was Black Sabbath with Dio (R.I.P.)
