Synopsis
The story takes place in the distant future. There are two superpowers on Earth fighting each other for what's left of the remaining natural resources spread out across the solar system. One of these superpowers have created and sent a giant terraforming ship to a distant planet called Erix. Their hope is to take this living world and reshape it so that humans can live there. This enormous terraforming spacecraft lands on Erix, a harsh and uninhabitable planet where it dispenses six smaller mobile units called Crawlers which spread across 125 kilometers of the planet and sow seeds which then terraform the planet. And the name of this terraforming spaceship is..."Prometheus." The severity of Erix's indigenous life is notable which are essentially referred to as bio-mechanoid killers.
OFFICIAL: Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life

I'll see it. Noomi Rapace can pretty much do no wrong in my eyes. ![]()

Man they really do like using that "horn" in movie trailers to make them seem more dramatic. ![]()

Stop that, Idris Elba. Matched with refreshingly dark photography and increasingly frenetic editing, this trailer makes for a super-intense, occasionally-Southern two-and-a-half-minute experience.

This has been the only movie in the last 5-6 years I've been this

Along with 'Dark Knight Rises' this is easily my most anticipated film of the year.![]()

For me this blows The Dark Knight Rises out of the water.
My only concern is the fact that Ridley Scott hasn't made a truly relevant movie since Blade Runner. But if ever there was a movie to break that trend with...

Potential spoilers:
Did anyone notice the "person" and room at 2:04 and 2:12 from the second [uS] trailer? Or the "alien" ship crashing to the planet? Two deleted scenes from Alien that are included in the director's cut:
