Fair Disclosure: I've haven't had the best expirences of love and romance.
With that being said, I am starting to become skeptical about the word "love".
If U.S. Patent Office would allow people or companies to trademark dictionary words, Limited Brands, the parent company of Victoria's Secret probably would file papers to patent the phrase "love". I think if they had it their way, Limited/VS would be the most valued company in the planet - way, way above Apple because they'd make a killing for all the royalities when anyone would use the phrase "love". I wouldn't be suprised they had thought of that.
I am so tired of seeing girls wearing PINK outfits - the girls who wear them are often the ones they shouldn't be loved. I think with this narcissim of this society thank to the Paris Hilton types, that everyone expects to be liked, to be LOVED and act entitled to be treated as such.
I went to an American Eagle store yesterday to see they had a shirt at the store window using their Eagle symbol in place of the O that iconic LOVE like symbol. Everywhere I see I see a heart the phrase and something that I believe its overrated.
I suspect maybe love is just a fashion statement - because I think the definition of "love" has kinda gone way past is original meaning.
But what do I know? I came from a dysfunctional family and never gotten kissed by any girl in my entire life, and expirenced hate in my upbrinings...
Am I the only one that is annoyed by seeing "love" all over the place? Is it a cliche? Should it be passe?
