Is porn inherently misogynistic?

This is linked to the other porn thread but I think this specific discussion deserves its own topic.

I would say that some (a lot) of porn is very unfriendly to women and much of its focus is devoted to having the women perform the most degrading and painful/uncomfortable acts.

There is a small niche of more women-friendly porn that could perhaps rightfully boast not to share the misogynistic undercurrent that is so common in most modern pornography.

Non I don't think it is. 99% of porn movies (not the hard core one using violence and humiliation)  are made for men and by men. You see men's fantasy on screen. So I would say men have a big lack of imagination when it comes to sex and are very basics.

If you are using the term "misogyny" to describe sexual objectification of women in porn, then yes, it is misogynistic.  But doesn't porn sexually objectify men as well?  We don't get to look into the soul of either character in the movie, it's just 2 or more bodies having sex.  And please don't tell me that women never look at met as sexual objects, or objects in general.

I have no illusions about the fact that porn producers care as little about the physical and emotional well-being of their male performers as they do about their female performers.
