LOS ANGELES (March 5) - Patrick Swayze, the actor and dancer who starred in such hit films as "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost," has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, published reports said Wednesday.
Swayze, 55, was diagnosed with cancer more than a month ago, the New York Post reported on its Web site, citing a representative for the actor.
A publicist for 'Dirty Dancing' heartthrob Patrick Swayze told the New York Post that the actor is battling pancreatic cancer and might only have weeks to live. A statement from his doctor indicates that the actor is responding well to treatment and is actually still working.

I've read today that he's got cancer indeed but is responding good to the medicines and is nothing near death. He even continues working at his current projects. Thank heavens!!
