Helix Piercing

hey guys, so quick story: I got my helix pierced three days ago (the classic cartilage piercing on the ear) and it hurts like a bitch.

It's a bit red and swollen and I've been disinfecting it with anti-bacterial solutions as my piercer said. There is no blood or anything else, it's just really really really sore. Is it normal? Any tips to make it heal in the right way?

I think that's normal. I'm personally not experienced, but I've seen my friends. They sooth the sore area with warm salt water. Try it. You may feel better.
