Worst dates of your life

What were the worst dates you've ever been on like? The other week I met up with a man I'd met online. We'd talked for months. He shows up in a horrible grey hoodie, knee-high Converse boots, and I'm not going to get started on the trousers. Turquoise was involved. We went to a mall food court and he wouldn't shut up about model trains and how much he hated his job. I literally couldn't get a single word in. Needless to say, I made my excuses.

Number two in the "terrible ranking" was a Jewish man I'd known since late high school, and who now studies art (or claims to). He turned out to have grown up to be very, very pretentious. He took me to an art gallery, claiming he went there every day, but he didn't know the way around at all. Once I'd showed him the way to the art, wincing as I went, he hurried around. I commented that one installation reminded me of Basquiat, and he'd never heard of Basquiat. He wasn't picking up anything in the way of romantic or sexual cues, either. Another one which I left early.

I would have a number three, but I can't think of any which could do those two disasters justice.

Great thread and interesting stories!  With body language, romantic /sexual cues, and other forms of communication, it usually takes experience and learning for men while women have that ability naturally or have been growing up reading women's media to gain an edge.  I have been quite stunned by how young girls can easily read this stuff.  

I don't have any horrible dates though, because I don't date people online and I qualify the woman beforehand.  I have lots of time wasting dates though-.

The worst story I've heard is how a friend of mine did a meet up with a woman that turned out to be morbidly obese.  The pictures she used were of a younger self and of normal weight.  The woman came with her friend.  He said hello and then left, without even doing the date.

I haven't had any bad dates, only awkward ones, but they always wanted a second one. Lol

I had a lot of horrible date, the last, in august 2015.

One time I went out with someone and he had his mom with him lmao
