Born in Germany, Friedemann Hauss graduated from les Beaux Arts, Basel and moved to Paris in 1967 to begin a career as an art director which then led to fashion photography.
He contributed to numerous magazines in France and abroad.
The photos shown in the gallery are part of his personal work and were taken with a 4 x 5 inch view camera and the gelatin silver prints were develloped by himself.
In choosing to shoot in black & white and in daylight, Friedemann Hauss is looking to create pure images free of all artifacts.
