I just...cannot wrap my mind around Nic Cage being Ghost Rider. I just...his spindley little body just doesn't fit the image for me. Of course the whole idea of comic book characters appearing on the big screen tends to suck anyway, with some exceptions of course.
X-men are pretty good. Spiderman as well. But you are right, apart from that, most of them have sucked.
Especially with something like this, where half the movie is going to end up being special effects.

It'll fade away eventually, just like any Hollywood fad. If two or three of them don't do as well at the box office as projected, we'll never see another one of them. See the revival and downfall of the sandal epic after Gladiator was such a succes.
Yeah but its good ones like spiderman, that keeps then thinking we can do that with this movie.
Ghost Rider wasn't all that popular of a comic, I'm surprised they made a movie of it. I'm glad they are finally going to release it though. yay for Eva!
Oh sans Nicholas Cage it looks badass. But as has been mentioned if its just a special effects bonanza its not gonna be all that hot. Its on my too see list anyway!
Nic isn't at all spindly. he's pretty buffed! the only thing I'm going to mind is the f/x overload. it seems pretty obvious that it's going to be like the Neo/Smiths fight where things that should be human just aren't.
