Why hasn't anyone thought of this before?

In order not to waste prime time slots,

most (if possible, all) reality shows are made online.

I don't see why America's Next Top Model, American Idol and

other talent search shows can't be done online.

We can have the profiles of each contestants online,

a video of their singing or modelling posted,

have people vote,

have celebrity judges to comment,

even an online discussion forum about the "show".

Since most of us already have high-speed Internet connection,

so why hasn't anyone thought of this before?
