Victoria Beckham’s show, held at the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild, presented a collection that was “really about going back to her roots and celebrating silhouette”, a collection with serenity, confidence and oh so elegant. Victoria Beckham’s signature in this collection is excellent. She also surprises me with shapes that take this collection to another level. Her sense for color, texture, shape and freshness is something that is always spot on. In my opinion I think it’s great that she managed to retain the elegance. I was drawn to this photo, shot backstage. A mysterious look, a play between light and dark, it definitely touched me. A new direction for me, to play with strokes of paint, to break through perfection and take risks to go straight through my work with my big brush with darker paint. Sometimes you have to do something exciting to finish with an awesome result. Because that’s what I felt when I painted my last stripe. An ode to the wonderful designer Victoria Beckham I hope you like what I have created xoxo Melanie
