Thanks for the clarification. I suppose it would really be less interesting for a wide audience to watch book Galadriel.
Also: +
Elves are supposed to extremely long-lived/immortal so their personalities reflect someone who has lived hundreds of years or more. They live like they have all the time in the world. They behave differently than humans and its a bit of trope in fantasy. Kate Blanchett did an amazing job (book accurate) as Galadriel imho, but you can see that if this version of Galadriel had her own show it would be really weird.
She would speak slowly all the time (but have high impact words filled with meaning all the time), be all-knowing, and not run around with a sword. She would also be strange and baffling at times.
This fan artist for the Witcher understands elves did a comic that illustrates their behavior here: CIRI, The Child of Destiny - Lady of the Lake (the-comic.org)
The Galadriel in show is basically a human to me, and behaves like one.

I think I finally found the man who I find slightly more handsome with less a beard 😋 @Lilja K Or maybe it's the suit because the dark one (for the dark lord) is 🔥

Are they preparing for another project or is it a facial hair bet? 😄
Also if his big ears and overall tallness are any indication for other body parts 🍆his wife is a lucky lady

I know 😄 That's why I noticed it at all

SPOILER FOR SEASON 2 of TRoP!!!!!
I think both of them deserves emmy recognition for the 2nd season. Maybe not a win but for sure a nomination. Any chances? @Lilja K @Cult Icon @Matt!
The mithril... What... What is... What is this?
The Rings of Power 2.07 "Doomed to Die"
His charisma, expressions + eyes & voice work as Sauron is remarkable (how he can effortly switch between accents, tones, pitches etc) 🤯
from puppy
to monstrous in a blink
from apparently caring
to absolutely merciless/emotionless
from gentle
to cunty
I mean I doesn't even need a sound or words to be terrified simply by the burning crazy look of his eyes 😱
#don't miss me emmy lol
it's remarkable especially considering he has only 3 other acting credits on his acting account 🤯

Mmmmmm, maybe? Perhaps? Possibly? Holy crap, that's a lot of gifs

@Jade Bahr I don't know- I haven't watched Season 2 yet (been overloaded recently) so I haven't been able to comment much on the show

I don't know how Television Academy works. I was sure that The Sympathizer would get quite a lot of noms, especially Outstanding Limited Or Anthology Series, but it didn't come true.

It's a voting system isn't it? Like most awards. And to qualifize you have to fulfill some terms. Or what do you mean?

Impressive for a "controversial" show

How do voters decide to vote for a particular candidate, what influences their choice and whether they really watch all the candidates (they should by definition, shouldn't they?). For example, this shitshow Emily in Paris has Emmy and Golden Globe noms (how?).

Since also a show like THE IDOL was nominated for at least one category I learned a show doesn't have to be good to be nominated 😆 But I think the same of some movies at the globes, oscars etc
I think like most nominations voters vote for shows, performances and actors which somehow left an impression (good or bad doesn't really matter it seems). By that amount of shows it's first impossible to watch everything and secondly to remember everything so something that sticks get the votes I could imagine.

Money is the only logical reason why he (and the cast) is involved in this show.

How could I forget about the Idol lol. You're right, but I think there may also be corruption involved.

Still in awe of that moment 🤯

Are you him? Are you Sauron?

‘We’re so enormously proud of what Charlie Vickers did this season as Sauron — it is a richly emotional piece of work for an actor.
‘That scene is one of the places we are just in awe of what he can do. Never in our wildest imaginations did we dream we could have a Sauron as layered as Charlie has made Sauron.
‘But in that moment, I think he moves through four or five different emotions that all play out silently on his face. It’s the greatest visual effect the show has’
