Name: Monika Jagaciak, nickname Jac was invented by her Paris agency

Born: January 15th, 1994

She lives: near Poznan

First casting: Organized by her mother agency in Poznan - she was 13 back then

Debut: Soon after, when she was still primary school student, she landed Hermes campaign alongside Daria Werbowy. Monika beat 600 other candidates. Two days after she was in France for shooting. Her first photo session was done by Peter Lindbergh. 'Before the Hermes campaign I didn't even know the brand and hadn't heard about Peter Lindbergh' - Monika says.

Monika's best features: She's sensitive, intelligent, open - 'Sometimes at their first shooting models are very stiff' - says Monika's agent Kasia Rusin - 'others need few hours to worm-up. Monika was great from the very beginning, she immadietely got every photographer’s directions.

School: ‘Education is a priority’ – says Monika’s mother – ‘Monika finishes every year with only A grades’

Achievements: When she was 15 she walked for the first time the most important shows in New York and Milan. She shot for the magazines like: Vogue (American?, French, Italian editions), Numero, Interview.

The worst experience: Scandal during Australian Fashion Week. ‘I was about to open some shows, when a journalist realized I was only 14. Soon, under media’s pressure the limit of 16 years old was set. I didn’t realize about the mess I caused. I stayed at home and, as usual, went to school. Suddenly, I noticed I was followed by paparazzis. My scared mum ran on the street to stop them. It were journalists from Australia – those who started the whole scandal.’

The best moment: -‘It was February 2009 and ad campaign for Calvin Klein – the brand that started big career for Kate Moss. After the casting, the told me that I wasn’t chosen for my face or body, but because of my character’ – says Monika.

Competition: ‘Huge! Luckily Slavic girls are ranked very high’ – says Jac. In the first 20 there’re 5 Polish models. Monika is there too, now everytinh is up to her.

My mum bought that PANI issue yesterday and it's great!! I'll always love this magazine if they will always be like that-promoting our great models.

There is that pic from her 1st ed there... I thought at first that snake is some kind of a necklace and then I noticed it's a real animal :ninja: brave girl.

And is it only me, or Monika really looks a bit like Eniko Mihalik in this second ed (with straightened hair)?

And it's great to hear that Monika's school marks and character are great

I knew she had to be great student aswell. That girl is perfect in every aspect

I've found a short article in Polish tabloid, where is said Monika got 1 million dollars for her Calvin Klein campaign. I doubt this is true and I just posted it, because there are no other news about Jac

It's just a tabloid, don't believe them But I think she could earn really nice money, since it was an exclusive campaign; or she got million for multi-season contract. I don't know

I'm waiting impatiently for some campaign news, I hope we will have some info on JAC's work soon

I hope it isn't an exclusiv contract with CK again, so that she can get more campaigns.

Hate it to hear nothing new

I actually prefer her to stay CK exclusive: it's more prestigious than having some random 4 campaigns and there's no risk with over-exposure.
