Nah, Kurt doesn`t do it for me. He`s not a bad lookin guy--but I don`t like his style and his overall image.
And since I tend to change my mind alot, as you`ve all witnessed..Nirvana is a good band..but yes..overatted.
I got into their music ten years after Kurt died. I don't own any albums but if I'd get one, I'd pick the live album that Nirvana recorded on MTV.

That's a very good choice, Lolita
I love this album.
Yeah. Thanks. When it was on for the first time I was like Oh Nirvana whatever, I won't like them. But then I watched it and 'fell inlove' with Kurt.
I'm feeling open minded enough that I might buy Nevermind sometime soon. ![]()

What's their best album?

Barlights, over at RYM, told me in their chatroom that because I like some heavy stuff, I'd be better off getting In Utero first. But the thing is, my policy has always been to get into a band by getting an album that I know has at least a couple songs I like, and Nevermind has "Smells Like Teen Spirit," "Lithium," and "Come As You Are." Even if the rest of the album is a failure, it will have been worth it for those.

^^ you cant go wrong with nevermind, i think In Utero and Bleach are a little heavier though

i think the right term will be rougher. Which is clearly understable for Bleach, the album cost about 648$ to produce, compare to 100 000$ for Nevermind.

nirvana is one of the best bands ever
I just love the songs, the lyrics, Kurt's voice, everything...
especially Teen Spirit, Come as you are (brilliant song) and Lithium
