did you say that you were hoping to visit Whitechapel?i should warn you that it has changed significantly and is particularly rough now
one of my friend's lives there (in Tower Hamlets) and it's apparently really bad nowdays.
well, i suppose that it has never been the nicest nor most savoury part of London
I think, no matter where you go, you end up running into something like that. Such as my mother getting lost in L.A. as well as in very bad parts of New Jersey for reasons I don't quite understand. Both of us are sort of magnets for bad neighborhoods.
And sort of related to that, but not really, in the condominium complex where we used to live, two people were murdered AND they tracked some guy down who killed an entire family. There was a shooting down the street at the grocery, and I believe someone was abducted not to long ago. When we lived there, that neighborhood was NICE. Now it's...I don't even know.

no, no, i mean that it's really bad my friend gets mugged like every few weeks and has been happy-slapped like 3 times in the last couple of years :| it's really quite umm dodgy

when i was driving from Houston to Tampa we took the wrong exit off at New Orleans and ended up in a kinda ghetto. my dad was so convinced that we were gonna get carjacked. it was real rough looking . . .

The part of Chicago we lived in, I walked around armed. I still do when I go back. So the whole bad neighborhood thing doesn't really bother me. I mean, as long as you don't do anything stupid, you're usually fine.

it's mostly tower blocks and council flats now anyway
to be truthful i wouldn't be comfortable going around there :| and i'm pretty big looking (as in tall ) be careful if you do go
