This is a crazy match. Now Novak's 3-0 up in the third.![]()
It was. I think it's mostly because of the conditions. It was really windy. I hate playing in the wind.

Who do you guys think will win in the Nadal-Djokovic quarter? That's a strong quarter. I hope Djokovic beats Nadal on clay. That will give him even more credibility as a player. Also if he does make it to the semis, he'll surpass Davydenko as #4 giving him a higher seed for the French.

Me too. I played in crazy wind a few weeks ago. It was blowing straight from one end of the court to the other so each time you swapped sides you had to completely change your swing. It was actually so strong that it was blowing loose balls around the court. But being in the UK you have to deal with it and take your opportunities to play when you can. I've actually played in quite heavy rain a couple of times this year too.
So Nina, are you any good?

You're optimistic!
I think the next person to beat Nadal on clay will be Federer. Or at least I'd like it to be. Novak's got a good chance of meeting Nadal in quarters but he won't beat him.

Nina, why you dont like Rafa?
I'm not really any good. I will be by the end of the summer. I'm going to a couple good places for training. I don't dislike Rafa I just like Novak better. My parents and I all root for him. I also like Jelena Jankovic, I hope she does well in the French.
I feel bad for Roger, he must have an enormous amount of pressure on him right now. I really hope he beats Rafa at the French or that at least someone beats Rafa (I can't imagine who else would really have a chance on clay). I just want to actually look forward to a grand slam final and not know who will win.
Andy Roddick is through to the 3rd round defeating Gaston Gaudio 6-1, 7-6.
Also there will be a Fjokovic-Baghdatis showdown. I hate how it takes them forever to update the draw. You have to look through all the results and do it in your head.

There goes my hope of Safin going far.
The draw on the tournament website seems to get updated faster than the one on the ATP site.
3rd round draw:
[1] Federer vs Volandri
[12] Berdych vs Acasuso
[3] Roddick vs Chela
Massu vs [6] Gonzalez
[7] Robredo vs Simon
Starace vs [4] Davydenko
[5] Djokovic vs Baghdatis
[15] Youzhny vs [2] Nadal
Nadal against Youzhny could be interesting. Misha has defeated Rafa the last two times they played. However, neither of those was on clay. I'd be surprised if it happened here but you never know.

I want to get some good tennis coaching, but when I have some more time and money to spare. Maybe later this year.
Jankovic is not one of my faves but I think she will do well at Roland Garros. I actually met her at a tournament last year. She seems really nice off court: she has a good sense of humour and is very friendly to the fans.
I dont feel bad for Federer at all. I want Rafa to win Roland Garros to prove Federer that he cannot win all Grand Slams and that he is better than him (at least on clay).

I think Rafa will win. I mean he has beaten Federer the last 3 times they played whether it be singles or doubles or exhibition.
I think at the time Youzhny beat Nadal his confidence was low. However I do think Youzhny's style of play is bad for Nadal and Nadal has a tough time facing him. We'll see how he does on clay. I'm still rooting on Novak for a big upset. I mean I remember last year at the French he was playing Nadal and Nadal's game was very on, Djokovic's back hurt and he was still in control at times. He beat Nadal the last time they played (yes I know on hard-court and I know that clay isn't very good for Djokovic's game. But if I'm going to hope for an upset before the final, I'm hoping Novak. I root for Nadal a lot but I like to root for the underdog as well and since Rafa is winning like everything on clay...The draw on the tournament website seems to get updated faster than the one on the ATP site.3rd round draw:

Volandri def. Federer 6-2 6-4
This Roger's worst run of form since he became world #1 over three years ago.
"I don't know what's wrong. I have to analyze it myself," said Federer. "It was over too soon for me today.
"I need to get back on the practice courts instead of the match courts. On clay you need to be solid, and I wasn't. I don't know if you can say I was playing shockingly, but I was making a lot of mistakes, serving badly - giving him second serves all the time.
"It sometimes happens, but usually I get through. And Volandri played well."
Home favourite Volandri, ranked 53rd in the world, collapsed to the ground in disbelief when Federer hit a final forehand into the net.
"What I've done here will only sink in tomorrow. This is the best court in the world. The crowd were fabulous," he said.
Roddick got annihilated as well. Chela def. Roddick 6-0 6-4
Volandri def. Federer 6-2 6-4
Im so happy!! :hell yea!:
