those were some of the scores for various games last night

over 10 runs means the opposing teams pitching bites the big one

under 3 runs scored for both teams, means there was a pitching duel

i'd say 5,6,7 is average...but i've never actually sat down and calculated and it can vary for different teams...a 1-0 game for yankees - red sox is INSANE, coz both teams are slugging teams and are in the top 3 of pretty much every offensive category. on the other hand, a low scoring game for the chicago white sox or minnesota twins is pretty common...they have good pitching (well minny not so much anymore) and so they dont have to worry about scoring as much.

yanks practically blew an 8 run lead...score 11-10...bottom of the 9th...greatest closer ever on the mound trying to close this out...

A letter to the Mets:

Dear NY Mets organization,

Considering how far we have fallen since the 2000 World Series I want to say thank you for actually making this season watchable. The NL Wild Card was attainable but you guys fell flat on your faces at the start of September. I think the reason that you were still in it for as long as you were was because all the other teams (Nats, 'stros, Phils,and Marlins) were mediocore for the majority of the season and you were right where you were supposed to be - .500. We need a first baseman, second baseman, catcher, and a centerfielder that can hit the ball and not stink up the field every night (Mr. Beltran ). So again, thanks for the great season and lets try to make next year even better.
