And the winner is...
French Rugby will recognise last season's stand-out performers at the LNR's annual awards ceremony on September 22 and the nominations in the various categories have been revealed.
It will be the five year the Ligue Nationale de Rugby holds it's Nuit du Rugby and Toulouse, the French champions lead the way with the most nominations.
Interestingly, a two new categories have been created this year - that of the "Best try" which will voted for by Internet users and the "XV of the year," which will be based on the votes of the Top 14's players and coaches.
The nominees are:
Best Top 14 Player: Juan Martin Hernandez (Stade Français), Byron Kelleher (Toulouse) and Gérard Vosloo (Brive)
Revelation of the season: Napoleoni Nalaga (Clermont) Yann David (Bourgoin) and Maxime Médard (Toulouse)
Best French International: Vincent Clerc (Toulouse), Lionel Nallet (Castres) and Thierry Dusautoir (Toulouse)
Best Coaching team: Clermont, Monauban and Toulouse.
Best Referee: Romain Pote, Christophe Berdos and Joël Jutge
There will also be a prize for the best group of supporters.
I think the people I have highlighted will win in their catergories
it will be a Red & Black night.
