I use Tube Hunter Ultra. Never had any problems with it and maker claims that it works with over 500 sites and you can also choose an output format with it.

I have no idea , but its very easy to grab videos from youtube. Because if you seen around there are lots of download managers offer you to download video through youtube. Download one. If you use firefox go to the source and find "get_video" Its get a direct link of that video.

For a VHS I think you need a TV Tuner to record it.

For a dvd it's quite simple, first rip the movie then upload it Remember that you aren't allowed to upload movies to youtube

One more thing. Right now I remember. Leave all and use Internet download manager. There you find many option. 1st you download anything with it as its a download manager and boost your internet speed. The 2nd thing is about it it can easily grab the youtube videos. But its not a free software
