The Simpsons have to win. ^^ They are just epic.

Plus: Familiy Guy copied some jokes/story lines.

Examples?

There is one joke about how the jews don't have to suffer after what they had to suffer in the desert B.C. Simpson made such a joke first, a while afterwars we could see a similar joke in Family Guy.

Another example is: there is an episode in which Marge becomes very strong and Homer doesn't want to sleep with her but she forces him. *g* And there is a similar scene in family guy...

Simpsons hands down. Funny for all ages, great social commentary and gotta give credit for 20 years of air time.

Family Guy has its moments, but too much random crude humour too often.

Simpsons.

They've been around so long, and for the most part have kept the funny in them, and to my knowledge has yet to be cancelled, unlike Family Guy. Aswell, latelly it seems like Family Guy is getting less and less funny....

While Family Guy does best with its kind of humor, by far The Simpsons is the winner here,

as some noted here there is a reason its been on since 1989. They do funny without trying to

be to over the top and certainly always have a way of keeping obscure pop-culture references

or subtle background gags in every show, the winner now and as i see it for a long time coming.
