Why are people obsessed with taking photos in front of private jets? Pilots must be rolling their eyes every time.

Because it shows status and that they have lots of $$$.

There does seem to be a trend of taking photos either in front of private jets or inside one. Some ads are doing it and even on ANTM there was a shoot with a similar setting.

I don't see anything strange in this. They have a lot of money, which is obvious because they are famous. Football players or other celebrities (Chrissy Teigen and John Legend for example) also take pictures in front and even inside of private jets. If they have private jets, why can't they show them? For them it's normal, besides it's definitely a lot more comfortable. Their luck that they can afford it.

I don't have a problem with them showing off the jet.  There are celebrities who do far more annoying and condescending things than that.  

Just so we are clear, I am not saying there is anything wrong with it  Just stating an observation that it seems to be particularly trendy recently
