It's a boy! Pregnant Natalie Portman is expecting a son with fiancé Benjamin Millepied
Natalie Portman is expecting a son with her fiancé Benjamin Millepied, it has been revealed.
The pregnant Black Swan actress and her dancer partner found out the news at their scan.
They are said to be 'so excited' about the boy, due in early spring.
A source close to the couple told Life & Style magazine the pair were 'so excited'.
'They’ve only told a very small group of family members and friends that they’re expecting a son,' the insider said.
'So excited': Natalie and fiancé Benjamin Millepied earlier this week
'They are so excited. Benjamin cannot wait to be a father.'
The two looked overjoyed when they met Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky and a group of friends for lunch in New York on February 10.
'Natalie had a big smile on her face,' said an eyewitness. 'She looked amazing.'
Today the actress was seen wrapped up warmly for a walk in New York.
In her thick duffel coat and woolly hat she was more than prepared for the wintry weather.
The 29-year-old was awarded a Bafta this week for her role in the thriller Black Swan, but due to her pregnancy was unable to attend the ceremony.
Director Darren Aronofsky accepted the Bafta on her behalf, saying she ‘shared her heart and soul and spirit with me and the world.’
Natalie might get her moment in the spotlight, however.
She is tipped to collect a best actress Oscar at next week's ceremony to complete her set, after already taking home a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award.

Woman-of-the-moment, Natalie Portman, has just stepped-up her seemingly-reluctant ploy for world domination with a stunning, sexy advert for Christian Dior.
The beautiful Black Swan actress - who is favourite to win the Best Actress Oscar on Sunday night - stars in the promotion video for the Miss Dior Cherie Fragrance which is directed by Lost In Translation's Sofia Coppola.
The advert packs a lot into just 30 seconds.
Portman admires some pale pink roses, puts on a black lace Dior dress and heads onto the streets of Paris where she seduces a very good looking young man before blindfolding him with his own bow tie and taking a bubble bath.
The plot may not make a huge amount of sense, but it all looks very beautiful and the leading lady's dreamy lifestyle is certainly something to aspire to.
Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg's breathy Je T'aime... Moi Non Plus provides the sultry soundtrack.
The 29-year-old Israeli-American actress admitted to feeling like a 'cougar' during the filming of the advert because of the age difference between her and her male co-star
We imagine she'll be pretty pleased with the result though.
The Miss Dior video will be accompanied by a print advert campaign featuring Portman wearing nothing but a bowtie as a hair band.
The photos were taken by Tim Walker who also took the pictures for Miss Dior's last campaign starring French actress Marion Cotillard.

She’s always on the go, and last night (February 23) Natalie Portman was spotted arriving at LAX International Airport in Los Angeles, CA.
Joined by her fiance Benjamin Millipied and her pooch pal, the “Garden State” babe looked a bit camera shy as she strolled through the terminal while making the west coast trip ahead of this weekend's Oscars - during which she's the odds on favorite to win Best Actress.
In related news, six of the tutus Natalie wore in “Black Swan” will be on display as part of “Rodarte: States of Matter” at the Pacific Design Center.
Designer Laura Mulleavy told press, "It's exciting to be part of a legacy that's not changing every six months, because our (industry) is about a constant renewal of ideas. With a film, the costume, it's not renewing that idea of the costume within that film. ... It lasts."
