^That's true but I think the academy knows he's talented and he's been nominated more times than many of the others in his generation. It's just unfortunately not everyone can win. Tom cruise and Brad pitt have not won oscars either, neither has Johnny Depp. I think Leo has even been nominated more times than them. ChristianBale is what many consider a good actor as well and he has never been nominated(probably will this year)

so it just depends on the circumstances etc etc. Seeing as Leo is a big movie star he is in an amazing position where he is still respected and atleast considered for awards... There are thousands of actors and Leo is among the top that is respected.

A woman who slashed actor Leonardo DiCaprio's face with a broken bottle at a Hollywood party in 2005 has been sentenced to two years in prison.

Aretha Wilson, 40, pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon which left the star needing 17 stitches.

Ms Wilson's lawyer said she was likely to serve six months, as she had already spent a year in jail and would get a reduced sentence for good behaviour.

DiCaprio did not attend the hearing at the Los Angeles court.
