Some movies I've seen lately:

The Pianist-I watched about an hour of it some time ago, but finally I watched the whole now

Easy A

Black Swan-I don't get why Mila Kunis got the Golden Globe nomination for her role :| Winona Ryder was in about 10 minutes of it and she was much better :| Anyway, I liked it, and Natalie was brilliant!

The Black Ballon (with Gemma Ward-she's pretty good in it!)-pretty sad movie

This movie is so depressingly amazing.

I need to watch it too!

Btw, do you think Michelle's performance was better than Ryan's? Because she got the Oscar nomination and he didn't

It's funny, I don't like Michelle Williams but I thought she was SUPERB in Blue Valentine. The true magic of the film is how real everything feels. You don't get the impression you're watching characters, you genuinely believe in this couple as true people. There's this subtle voyeuristic feel to it. While both of them were amazing in this movie, Michelle had this certain knack, if you can call it, for making her reactions so subtly organic. She never seemed to be acting. Ryan was amazing as well, but she came across much natural in context.

Of course that isn't to say that Ryan was anything but natural and amazing in his roll, but Michelle was perhaps 1/8th of a step above him.
