Now You See Me

Finally got a chance to watch this. Fun easy movie to watch. A bit over the top but good twists and fun effects. Unrealistic but enjoyable.

6.5/10

Enough Said

Such a fantastic movie. Julia Louis Dreyfus is wonderful in this. And the chemistry between her and James Gandolfini is captivating. Sad to be one of his last films. Great performances by the two leads and a sweet movie.

8/10

Maleficent I've been a little disappointed. I remember Maleficent to be this evil woman with great powers and dark humor (when she made fun of Philip in the dungeon) and instead of that I have a love story gone South and basically a quarrel between former lovers. 5/10

Lucy I'm not sure I understood everything about that film. We spent way too much time on those chinese mafia dudes and if I wanted to see a car chase I would watch "Taxi" again, and in the end the scientific aspect wasn't developped enough. Not bad but could have been better 6/10

Inside Llewyn Davis- Was alright, didn't get into it as much as other people did. Still trying to interpret the end/beginning? 6.5/10

Mission Impossible

Classic spy thriller when Tom Cruise was actually interesting.

"St. Vincent"

Not a new story by any means but funny and touching.

Weird old Bill Murray is perfectly cast and Melissa McCarthy

playing it straight was a nice change of pace. Chris O'Dowd's

supporting part as a priest was excellent.

This is actually one of my favourite movies of the last few years.

I saw the beginning/end as being symbolic of a life going round in circles, after Llewyn spends a week dealing with but eventually compounding his failures, you’re left with the sad realisation that Carey Mulligan’s assessment of him (which feels needlessly mean-spirited at the time) is in fact spot on. I like to think of it as a coming-of-age movie where the hero faces the fact that his childhood dreams aren't going to happen, but it's an overall chronicle of failure too.

To be completely honest, the more I've thought about the movie since the day I first watched it, the more I realize I like it. It still wasn't so much my cup of tea, but what you said makes alot of sense now, and that does add a bit to my like of the movie.

I'll change it to a 7/10

The Babadook

I was excited to see this because everyone was talking about this new aussie horror film. It's so rare for our movies to make it internationally at festivals and I got excited. But it wasn't a good movie. In terms of the symbolism and meaning it's great. But horror wise it's not scary. Just a weird film.
