The Witch-Definitely not a movie for everyone. Everyone who walked out of the theater before me said "It suuuucckkkked" "Boring as hell" but I think going in a lot of people thought it was going to be an in your face gory movie. And it wasn't. It wasn't even necessarily about the witch, but the tension within a family accusing one another. Great acting and a cool setting. As alot of movie reviewers described it, it's definetly a slow burn movie. Would have been a 7/10 but the last 15 minutes bumped it up to a 9/10. ![]()
And since we all love models so much Sarah Stephens is in the movie ![]()

it was underwhelming, Stone's script is pretty weak
I liked the music and the cinematography tho

The whole movie is based around Al Pacino spazzing out and going on violent rants, lol.
Lindsay, thanks for the review!

What did you think of this one? ![]()
It confounded me a bit, if I'm honest. Great performances all round, but the second half of the movie (trying to avoid spoilers, of course) seemed to lack any kind of dramatic stakes or coherence, with lots of shifts in perspective and a seemingly random mix-up of domestic scenes. It led to a welcome uplifting climax, but one that I personally felt hadn't been fully earned. There's a great film to made about the resilience of a child in peril, I'm not sure if that was it though.

I actually loved it, for me it's one of the best (if not the best tbh) movie from the awards season this year. I love the second half because it shows the mother's struggles, she didn't just have a magical perfect ending, to me it felt real and probably very accurate for the situation.
I think it's a shame Jacob Tremblay did not score an Oscar nomination, the kid pulled a better performance than the ten men who are nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor.

Deadpool - very entertaining. Some jokes were cheesy but most of them were pretty good. Ryan Reynolds' performance was great! 8.5/10

Spectre - was pretty let down by it. Didn't engage me at all.

The Visit - I know it's supposed to be a horror film, but I just couldn't stop laughing
It's definitely not scary at all but it's very entertaining
The ending is quite good, I was not expecting that. 8/10

The Bay-Great eco-horror film. Little maggots growing in the water from steroids dumped in and pollutants that causes them to grow and eat you from the inside you.
But what was most scary is finding out that is actually possible
