Zidane backs Real to beat Barca
Football legend Zinedine Zidane has declared that Jose Mourinho will lead Real Madrid to success this season.
The former Real Madrid maestro believes that the "Special One" has the quality to put together the pieces for a squad that can rival current La Liga champions Barcelona.
According to AS, Zidane said: "I didn't see the Mallorca game, I was out, but Madrid is still preparing.
"Mourinho brings what was missing to this team. Barca are going well, but this year Madrid can do something important."
"The way Barcelona play now it's hard to be at their level, but Madrid have the players and coach to beat them.
Zidane believes that the way forward for the Spanish bigwigs would not be spending, but rather investing in their youth system, saying: "Now, they must also think of the youth system.
"Barca has done very well with theirs lately and have brought in four or five players."
The Frenchman also tried to shift attention away from his son, Enzo Zidane, who at 15 years old, is already attracting comparisons with his illustrious father for his skills.
"I do not like talking about it, but when one of the national teams calls him, we will decide which one to play for.
"If Spain is calling, fine. And if France, the same.
"The important thing now is that he enjoys playing for Real Madrid."

Mourinho keen to sign Zidane
Jose Mourinho is keen to add Zinedine Zidane to his team of coaching staff at Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Bernabeu legend has won every title possible in club football with the Los Merengues and has been focusing on his role as advisor to club president Florentino Perez this term.
The three-time world player of the year has attracted the attention of Mourinho who now wants him to come onboard as a coach.
Speaking to French TV, "I would like to have him more with me and less with the president,' Mourinho, who joined Real during the close season,
"I don't think he wants to become a coach but I would still like to have him with me," said Mourinho.
Can Madrid wrestle the La Liga title away from Pep Guardiola's all-conquering Barcelona side this season?
