If what you say is true, then VS has paid Julia, Caroline, and Bianca a year's salary for nothing since signing them as spokesmodels, and that to actually give them an assignment would mean snubbing a higher-paid Angel. Not to mention, it's practically indisputable by now that Marisa's been an Angel since late 2007, and from the huge push VS has just given Doutzen, she's clearly on that path unless she's meant to be a temporary replacement for Ale.

Models like Gemma and Daria are different in that they have reached the level of supermodel already

As far as Daria and Gemma, they aren't well-known outside of high-fashion and runway. VS is one if not the top contract and it gives huge amounts of exposure outside of fashion. Many people know the VS Angels and don't know anything about the rest of the modeling industry.

pretty, I never heard about there being an actual Spokesmodel set, but that would explain some things. I usually call them "Demi-Angels". The media does throw around the name angel too much.

And as far as their salary, even if they do more press and possibly get a higher pay check than one of the angels, it still doesn't make them an "angel". The angels are the elite.

Obviously there is a big difference with the 90's supermodels that were actually known to what the term has become now. Supermodels do exist today but not on that level anymore. Daria and Gemma and Natalia have all been established supermodels. Am I crazy or am I the only on who want s a huge angels past and present reunion segment. Not this year, maybe for like their 20th or 25th aniversary: They should bring back all the big ones Gisele, Tyra, all the ANGELS.
