The curse of gmail: I have just read through a lot of emails I hadn't found time to read, using the o for open and y for archive hotkeys in gmail. Then I come to BZ, read the new posts in a thread, click y to move on and sit back and wonder why nothing happens

No, I really am a bona-fide Englishman. With a Colin Firth style accent. I don't talk like Vinnie Jones if that's what you think. But i don't say "Old Bean" but my father says that. And he calls me "Dear boy" and "old chap".

Well, there's a funny story behind that one...well actually there isn't. Old Bean is a term of address. You calling someone Old Bean is similar to calling them "dude", but in a less street, mildly embarassing way.
