Sarah Stephens

Australian model Sarah Stephens will join the SA SWIMSUIT team in the Seychelles as we shoot for our 2014 edition.

Born in England, Sarah grew up in Sydney and will bring her strong credentials as one of the world’s leading models to the shoot.

The face of Lacoste, adverts for world famous brands such as Benetton, La Senza, Levi’s, Seafolly and Wrangler, a Victoria’s Secret model, numerous magazine covers around the world and a movie role alongside Michael Douglas and Danny deVito – that’s just scratching the surface of Sarah’s impressive CV.

I live: Williamsburg, Brooklyn

 

What i miss most about home is: Family & friends.

 

People don’t know that: I can play the bass clarinet… And beatbox (but apparently I’m not as good as I think I am).

 

I love New York because: Opportunities are endless.

 

My favorite place in New York is: Laying out in McCaren park. The best people watching.

 

Uptown is: Foreign to me.

 

Downtown is: Frantic but fun.

 

Brooklyn is: Forever evolving and home.

 

I drink my coffee from: Little Collins.

 

The best food in New York is at: Marlow & Sons

 

My favorite drink is: Old fashioned.

 

I drink them at: The Richardson

 

My style is: Whatever I’m feeling. Sometimes very 90′s. Occasionally quite dark. I love velvet and silk but I also have a weakness for acid wash and polka dots which my mother can’t stand. I love feminine prints toughened up with leather and boots. I also enjoy ravaging through second hand stores as I prefer vintage prints and tailoring.

 

My favorite designers are: Reformation, Acne, Ellery & Opening Ceremony.

 

I shop at: Any vintage store I stumble across and Reformation.

 

My scent is: Elie Saab, Roses by Chloe & Angel at night.

 

I admire: Cate Blanchett

 

I never: Will accept or tolerate people who are unnecessarily rude or condescending.

 

Sometimes I wish: I could runaway rather than face my problems. Adulthood really sucks sometimes.

 

I regret: Nothing.

 

The best outfit I ever wore was: This crazy 80s print Reformation cutout playsuit. Just because I always have way too much fun in it.

 

The best thing I ever bought was: A ticket to see my boyfriend in NZ a few years ago. The best getaway road trip vacation ever.

 

I like when boys wear: Leather jackets.

 

I’m secretly addicted to: Bubble wrap I can’t live without: love.

 

Music is: How I get up in the morning. It drives me.

 

The best concert i ever saw was: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club on two occasion. One with my boyfriend and one with my mum. Tame impala, my friends from the Midnight Hollow and Andrew Bird are all incredible live and Anna Von Hausswolff is hauntingly beautiful. She gives me chills. Oh, and so good seeing the Strokes at this years Governors Ball!

 

I’m most proud of: My brothers. They recently came over to visit and I can’t get over how much they’ve grown up. I miss them so much.
