I know they are considering moving it to a cable network.

I watched the first few episodes of S4 with a slight sinking feeling that all those years creating bonds between characters had been wiped out, but weirdly, I'm starting to feel that I would miss the current timeline if Peter succeeds in getting back home (wherever that is). The writers have pulled it off brilliantly so far, and the possible return of Jared Harris's character only adds to my excitement.

I keep forgetting, the show's UK pace is ancient history for US viewers.

No TV or movie moment in years has made me jump like the Porcupine bloke emerging from the shadows to attack poor Lincoln. Between that and his unrequited love for Olivia, I'm starting to think the character only exists so the writers can torture him.

And as if it wasn't cool enough to keep badgers as pets and ride around parks on penny farthings, no-one in the other universe has heard of Bono either. Consider me incredibly jealous!

FRINGE Renewed For Season 5 [Official]

Fringe faithful rejoice. Fringe has been renewed for a 13-episode fifth and final season, it has just been confirmed.

It was starting to feel like they were trying to tie up certain loose ends in preparation for a conclusion (especially all this business with the Observers), so I'm a bit surprised to hear that there's another season in the offing. Still, it's most welcome news.

^ That's b/c they were not sure would the current season be the final until recently. Keep in mind the current season was filmed last year.

It must be incredibly tricky for the writers to have to deal with such uncertainty, and yet still come up with satisfactory conclusions for the show. I wouldn't swap places with them.

Though I wouldn't mind having their money.

^ Unfortunately no Season 5 (the current season) is the last season. It will have 13 episodes versus the regular 20+.

3 down 10 more to go

S5 isn't starting until the 24th of October here in the UK but apparently, waiting that extra four weeks will enable Sky to air it in an unbroken weekly run, which I guess is a fair trade-off. By my calculations, we'll have caught up to the show's US pace by the end of November. Can't wait!

The season so far is kinda meh All good things must come to an end *sigh*

Hopefully it gets better as it goes on and ends well. I'd really like to remember the show fondly when it's all over with, and if the big conclusion (assuming there is one) were to leave a bitter taste, it'd be a great shame.
