Why did you change "Vansterdam" to "G-town"? Or you did it a few days ago and I noticed it just now?

I saw VMAs this night. When it was live, it was 2 AM here and I didn't plan to watch them, because i thought it would be boring... But when I heard about the Kanye/Taylor and GaGa's performance, I knew I need to watch it the next day ahaha, it was funny, cause on MTV Hits it started at midnight, on MTV dance at 00:30 AM and on MTV 2 at 1:00 AM, so when MTV Hits had a commercial break, I could switch to one of the other 2 MTVs and watch some parts again

That Kanye thing didn't look THAT bad though... I mean, he surely isn't modest etc., but it wasn't like: "oh fuck MTV, Beyonce is much more talented, but she's black and that's why she didn't get an award" or sth... I'm not defending Kanye though and, I remember that on EMAs 3 yers ago I think, Kanye went on stage when some band received an award for the best music video, and he came and started screaming: "my video cost 0.5 million dollars, I had pamela Anderson in it, guys (pointing at the band) surely your video was good but didn't deserve an award as much as my video". Or something similar.

Limerlight will get it because he's from here and knows specifically where I'm from. But I live in town where everyone thinks they're gangsters and they run around mugging people with bear mase. Case in point: These are the people I went to the beach with most recently. I just like poking fun at the ghetto reputation my town has, because it really isn't ghetto at all. People just listen to too much Gucci Mane.

I know that Kanye has done it before, but I don't think that that makes it any more okay. I understand, that's his attitude and everything, whatever. I was just appalled by how rude it was to completely interrupt Taylor during her acceptance speech, take the mic from her and tell everyone that Beyonce deserved the award, not her. Seriously! Who does that And Taylor just looked so sad...

And I love Lady GaGa. Just loveeeeeeeeeee. She's just so interesting and blatantly slutty. And talented I mean, I don't like her music because it's so pop, but she's very good at making pop music. And she's aware that what she's doing is pop and she's raunchy with how she presents it so kudos. It's interesting. And she's a very good singer. Besides that, I wasn't a fan of the Kermit thing. It's been done before :morning:

Yes where Portia is from there are quite a few names for it, none of which are good (at least that I know of.) There's a few names about my town as well, but not nearly as bad as Portia's.

Oh ya, and Portia, my friend phoned me up tonight and now My dad and I with his family a few other are getting box seats to a Lions game, and that's on my birthday how sweet is that?

I live in the district that is known to be dangerous like, where you can be easily robbed etc. .... well, I agree it's not very safe, but it's not THAT bad... so when people get to know where exactly I am from, they are like "oh, respect"

when I watched my first VMAs, I think it was 2005, I wass o when I saw Kanye. There were these pre-VMAs arrivals, and a reporter asked him why he didn't arrive on a yacht, as it was rumoured. Kanye's response: "Man, the yacht sucked, it didn't match to my outfit"

I also don't really like her music, yes, I can stand "Just dance" and "Eh eh" 'Pokerface" on the other hand... :x I've never liked it, and I don't think the video for it was good... I was surprised to see it was nominated, I thought "Paparazzi" would be.

I think she sounds very good live... And her shows are never boring still, I have mixed feelings about her VMA performance, Idk if I liked it or not. it definitely was...interesting btw I read somewhere today that an association of psychologists were "disgusted" by her performance, that it "promotes" suicides

Anyway, I'm not a fan of her music either, but it's pretty catchy. I completely agree about Poker Face getting nominated over Paparazzi, I was confused about that too Paparazzi is a pretty good video. I personally really liked her VMA performance. It was so entertaining and she's such a good singer. So good live, imo. I remember last summer she performed at this hole in the wall club where I live. I remember because the McDonalds I work at is really close to the club and I was working a late night shift (10pm-6am) that night and we got a huge rush after the club closed because it was packed for the Lady GaGa show. So it's weird to think that she was playing and some shitty club just a year ago and now she's on the VMA's.

Yeah, it's like, they showed nominations for the best video of a new artist, with GaGa in, and in just one year, she got SO popular! Poor Aguilera (you know, when Christina recorded and released her last albums, people kept saying she looks o much like GaGa in it, looks-wise, and Aguilera said she doesn't even know who that person is )
