we have exams next week for this year

and for Year 12 next year we have them around the start of October then highschool is finished

basically, year 11 is a joke for us.

We do jack all and have 3 terms, instead of the usual 4.

Then, because the previous year's year 12 students are gone by term 4, we fill in their gap and blah blah blah...

the school year starts in september and ends in july. it is made up of 3 terms. you start school when you are 4 or 5 now with nursery and stuff before. when you are 16 (in our year 11) you do your GCSEs. normally you do your GCSEs in a really broad range of subjects and you normally do 9 or 10 of them. after that you can leave school or stay on and do A-levels which take two years (you can do AS-levels which are exams you do after 1 year and are worth half an A-level, in theory). you normally choose 3 or 4 A-levels to do, often focusing on a particular subject or general area (e.g. i focused on sciences and so did biology, chemistry, maths and further maths). in the summer of your last year (when you are 18) you sit your exams and hopefully get good grades and then go to uni or get a job or not.

the english system is complicated . . . they are thinking of changing it 'cos it is dodgy and because, in terms of higher education, only Ghana has a 'narrower' educational system.

Just letting you know..so you can be happy!! I'm gonna fail all my 3 AS level!! awesome news!! . So then I'll become homeless and steal other people's food because I'll be too poor to afford my own(since I've loss the will to live and work).....My dream of becoming a millionaire is over!

definitely know what you mean about revision. i used to get so little done.

work is goin alright. some is soooo complicated at the moment and there is tonnes to learn. it is way interesting though. the exams at the end of the year are gonna be shockingly difficult! . . . still worth it though
