im sure theres a way to convert vhs to digital, but i certainly dont know it

There are VHS/DVD+RW machines for retail sale that aren't too expensive... say a few hundred $$$. Other than that, you can find a professional in the phonebook but they'll charge body parts for the conversion. Upside is that they can restore/enhance 'em and give 'em that professional look
