'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' Bumped to Summer 2009
In a last-minute move, Warner Bros. has just announced that the studio is pulling Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince from its fall lineup and rescheduled it for July 17, 2009.

That REALLY sucks.
I'm so angry with Warner! - I mean, it's not because the movie's not finished or anything!
They just said they think it's better becuase the last movie was released in July too ... <_<
Then rumor has it they've rescheduled because Dan Radcliffe is starring in "Equus" on Broadway, naked. So WB apparently doesn't want this to be affecting their HP movie - it's a children's movie after all.
Anyway, I can't tell you how annoyed this has me.
I think its a little bit unfair, they are moving it back at everyone's expenses! I know it might be really controversial and they are scared that they won't get the megabucks if bad reputation fans it way from Equus to HP but I don't even know how Equus, a theatre play could be related to Harry Potter? Yeah sure, the same guy plays the lead role but goodness.... I think WB underestimated the passion and love of the HP fans out there.
Exactly!!
If they would only knew ... I mean I've waited since last July for this November to come ... and I don't consider myself as a big fan, just a "normal" one ... If they wouldn't want "their" actors to do other stuff they should have forbid it or something. A neat little sentence in the contract: Don't play naked with horses on broadway around the release date of HP-movies.

They (as in the studios chief) actually said it was due to not having a guaranteed blockbuster for the summer, and HP will give them just that - it's all supposed to stem from the writers strike, whereby they're lacking film content for usual summer blockbusters season.

Not that hard to find, instead of believing tittle tattle.
