Here are some pics I took on a trip to D.C. a few days ago:
In order:
1. The Washington Monument
2. The White House
3. The National Christmas Tree
4. The entrance hall to the National Botanical Gardens
5. A model of the Capitol Building in the N.B.G. -- all the major buildings along "the Mall" were turned into models for the N.B.G. as a holiday thing, but now they're permanently on display (I think)
6. Dorothy's ruby slippers
(Along with #7 below, these were moved to the National Air & Space Museum while the Museum of American History does renovations, and they were probably the most popular item in the entire building!)
7. Star Wars' C3PO and R2-D2
8. The Wright brothers' 1903 Flyer
9. Vincent van Gogh's "Roses" at the National Gallery of Art
10. Claude Monet's "Woman with a Parasol" at the N.G.A. (Two of my favorite paintings by two of my favorite painters.)

 I absolutly love these! I'm addicted when people use natural lighting in their pictures, gives them more of an effect to the eye
