Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2009 (PRE-SHOW Thread)

Not every FB opens the show. I know Gisele did back in 2005 but thats the only one I can think of. Candice got 3 outfits bc she is f*cking awesome. This year I hope she gets 3 outfits again. They might get 4 outfits depending on the segments and if they have a finale outfit like last year. If you count the finale outfit I believe Candice got 4 outfits. So its possible

Let us not forget that Heidi also did not have wings with her FB in 2003. And I forgot about the metal cape. I think I wanted to forget it. And I hope they don't give her that with that bra. And not every FB doesn't open every show. I don't think a FB has opened the show since 2005.

My predictions are:

silver&gold segment

bep sucking.

ale opening the show

Miranda opening a segment

candice opening the PINK segment (if they have one)

and heidi bursting through the wall like kool-aid man.

I have a feeling Miranda will close the show. I think Ale will open it, well I hope she opens it anyway! I think Candice, Emanuela, Rosie, and Doutzen will open segments as well. A sliver and gold theme would be awesome, though they kind of had one of those in the 2006 show. Maybe this one will be a little classier then that one was. Poor Jessica Stam! Anyway the carnival idea is cool too, but no clowns! If there are clowns I will never forgive VS! EVER! I can also see a 20's themed segment.

I just hope they give Rosie more than 3 outfits. This is her 3rd year here and shes in the Holiday commerical so she should get 3 outfits. Not the ugly out fits either. Her Pink outfit was so ugly last year. What the hell were they thinking when they made that?

They weren't thinking when they made the PINK outfits last year. Here are a couple of examples of why I think the VS people are on crack. WTF!?! was on Lindsay Ellingson's head last year? Put a few more feathers on that and I could have dusted my room with Lindsay Ellingson! Erin Heathton's giant scarf looked like it was trying to kill her! No wonder why she looked uncomfrotable up there, she probably thought she was gonna trip over the damn thing! The only part of that outfit I liked was her bra. I did like Sara and Flavia's outfits though. Flavia is a sexy lumberjack!

Anyway back on topic. I think Rosie will get three outfits this year. If not we can all rasie hell over it!

I agree on everything except Candice openin' the PINK Segment, Behati is openin' that Segment since she's the PINK girl ... So i think it's goin' to be her .... Candice is goin' to open a segment, but not the PINK one

I also think Rosie and Candice should get three outfits as well. And i think Rosie needs a pair of wings. I think Rosie and Candice are definate girls to consider for Angel Status. And Emanuela too. I wanna see Chanel Iman too this year. I think she will probably be in PINK and maybe another segment. Unless her debuet is a big one like how Jessica Stam was in 2006...

If Rosie got wings this year I wouldn't care if the rest of the show sucked as long as her outfit was cute that would make my day. I think if anyone else would of worn Candices Pink outfit they would of looked stupid. Candice can be wrapped in plastic bags and still look sexy as hell.

I hope Rosie gets 3 outfit.

whoever got emily didonato's picture on their setting thing is on the right track, imo.

i really think she got everything it takes to do VS. my friends think she too looks too much like adri. i guess in some way she does..but whatever...

we cant deny her sex appeal, and she seems like she got a fun personality. I REALLY HOPE SHE TRIES OUT. she'd be great for pink...

can u imagine...emily, candice, flavia, abbey, behati, erin, lindsay, chanel and cinita for the pink section..my dream cast for that section...

id want edita, rosie and shannon up graded to one of the other segments...

i'm glad marisa got the bra...hope she crushes that runway...she has improved since 07

i really hope the casting videos comeout already...it really driving me nuts trying to guess what direction they plan to take this...

I think Emily is goin' to be there ... after all her X-Mas pix, we can pretty much say she's confirmed to do the show!

I hope she gets at least two outfits & not just one PINK outfit ... She's amazing & her face is just perfection, i can't wait to see her doin' the show

I don't think Emily looks like Adriana at all, actually. I think she resembles Julie Ordon more than anyone else. And she isn’t really ‘practically confirmed’, because by that logic Nicole Trunfio would’ve been in it a couple years back. Still, I’d like to see her there. Emily is a stunning beauty.

As for the show, perhaps I’m being pessimistic, but I expect something better than 07 but worse than last year. Last year’s show seemed good at the time, but if you compare it to the great shows (03 and 05) it really wasn’t ‘all that’, so to speak. I feel that the quality of the materials is what’s making the outfits lose their luster. They’re cheap looking. Even something overworked can look semi-decent if the fabric is right.

Still, with good enough casting, I can forgive a couple bad outfits. Heh.

I miss Nat Poly and Hana Soukupova at the show more so than any other models. Both of those girls, while not exactly traditionally ‘sexy’ have something many of the other girls lack: presence. They have killer walks, and anyone who doubts this can go look at the stewardess segment back in 06. Along with Gisele**, those three owned that segment.

**let’s not shed tears over Gisele, it’s been almost three years now. She’s not coming back… and she’s pregnant. Hehe

Just bc she is in the Holiday catalog doesn't mean she will be at the show. You just have to wait and see. There are alot of girls that do the catalog and have never walked the show. I wouldn't mind seeing her there but you just never know with VS.

Yeah but last year almost the girls who were in the X-Mas catalog made the show ... Like Ana BB, she was ONLY in that catalog & she did the show ...

I think she's goin' to be there b/c she was in the X-Mas catalog, no b/c of her swim pictures ... Bar Refaeli is in the swimsuit this year but im like 100% sure she's not doin' the show, same w/Brooklyn Decker & other models ... But w/Emiñy i just have the feelin' that she's goin' to be there

& Irina is still in the catalogues, but is not like VS she's w/Intimissi ... Is like Bar, she's in the Hurley-VS Commercial but she's sooo not doin' the show ... In Irina's case is different than w/the other girls b/c she's not doin' VS material

Chanel Iman. Lily Donaldson, Kasia Struss and Magdalena Frackowiak have all been in the catalog and Magdalena has been to a casting but it still doesn't mean they will do the show. Chanel & Lily did the Holiday catalog and I just don't see Lily doing the show. I could see Chanel doing it. The only reason why I know Rosie & Candice wil do the show is bc Candice is one of the faces of Pink and this would be her 3rd year. Rosie is in the holiday commerical and this will also be her 3rd year. Behati will also be there bc shes the face of Pink. Thats pretty much all the models I know that will be there besides the angels. I think Anne V is suppose to be there bc it was confirmed on her twitter or whoever it was. Other than that I have no idea who will be there. So you have to wait and see

Dont forget Chanel was in the Christmas Commercial so she will probably be there. And i think its safe to say Emanuela and Lindsay will be there because of them being apart of the launch of BODY. That was huge for two non angels. So i think that will mean they will be there. It would be Lindsay's third show and Emanuela's second...
