Well, living here in Argentina, first time I heard "brazilian supermodel" was about Gisele and then Adriana, I remember was 2001/2002. I never heard about the three names you are talking, are they from 80's or 90's?

Betty and Dalma are very famous in the 70´s and 80´s, muses of fashion designers like Montana, Valentino, Gaultier and Muggler.

I'm Brazilian and Gianne only became more famous here in Brazil after she became a show host. As a model she was never like Gisele! Who doesn't follow fashion, nor should know of the her existence. The Brazilian people only know that a model is famous, if she walks to VS because TNT and SBT (open channel) transmitted the shows or if she becomes an actress like Letícia Birkheue. Some of whom also became famous in Brazil because they became show hosts like Ana Hickmann and Mariana Weickert. And there are some that are known but not so much, Isabeli Fontana (because she always dated actors and famous singers in Brazil), Izabel Gourlat, Caroline Trentini and Raquel Zimmermann, Raquel was only featured in the Brazilian media when she was taken as Gisele's replacement while Gisele was pregnant, after that she disappeared from the media. The most famous are Gisele, Adriana and Alessandra.

PS: I wanted to understand why the official Ana Beatriz Barros thread is highlighted here at Bellazon, since she does almost nothing more as a model and if not even here in Brazil she has fame!

I'm a BIG fan. I certainly wish she had been more popular.

I agree. After that she became a supermodel. Everybody around the world started to know about her, it was crazy.

Yeah but Gianne is not the only girl in the world. And you know, it is good to talk about other colleagues from the same era or country. Anyway, I would like to see more works with Gianne, she did  so many fashion shows.
