you hold alt while you type in the numbers, the numbers wont show up while your typing them if your doing it right.
Oh! and one thing I forgot, and this is probably why, the zero, 0167 and 0241, SORRY!
Again, push and hold alt with your left, and with your right, hit 0, then 1, then 6, then 7. Release, and you should get this

when are you getting the dings?

when i hit each number key
hold on...does ur keyboard have the number pad? coz im reading the "help" thing and it says:
you can also insert a special character directly into a document without using Character Map. To do so, open the document and position the insertion point where you want the special character to appear. Then, with NUM LOCK on, hold down the ALT key while using the number pad keys to type the Unicode character value.

yes, you don't have a number pad? the top row numbers have different sets of ASCII numberes, so using them won't work.

nope, my laptop doesnt have a number pad. i was wondering how u werent having a hard time holding down the alt key while pressing 4 numbers...the number pad explains it lol

ah, that explains it. Sorry you can't do em, if you want any of the characters, I'll type em up for you. ![]()

maddog will put in his 2 cents hopefully with some more useful information than I have given. ![]()
