regarding the ac3 problems: i haven't tried it on osx, but mplayer for linux plays just about every video and audio format under the sun without any problems. there's an osx port called mplayerosx, if you want to give it a go (http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/)

I have heard that the issue stems from quicktime's programming, and that it is universal for "pro" or non-pro users. I have the most up-to-date ac3 codec, and it still freezes my comp.
And you are right about the HD reading speed, but I have the highest rpm or whatever they sell (7200) - but size/available space is an equally important factor, from what I've read.

Okie dokie! someone wanted it so i rushed to provide! I did 330 caps of the show, the quality of the file i had sorta made it harder to cap the motion on the runway so no fussing to me cause ive missed sections or some of the pictures arent crystal clear <_<.

the pass for the gallery is doodyhead which is exaclty what you are if you steal these then take credit for them
