Iceeagel is having problems logging onto the forum. Everytime he/she tries to logon this appears: http://twitpic.com/rft65

The only way the member can log in is when he/she uses Hotspotshield. The ISP he/she is using is Deutsche Telekom AG. The browsers used in attempt to logon includes: Opera 10, Firefox 3.5 and and IE 8

I checked the member's account and everything seems fine

^ if they can provide us with their current IP address we may be able to look if its on the ban list of IPs

^ The member was PMing through YT and my account just got shutdown...again

I will locate the member's email address and contact her

What do you guys think about these "do you think my cousin is hot?" and "can my best friend be a model?" type topics ?

^ I am not a fan of those threads b/c it distracts from BZ's "mission of purpose" so to speak. It also makes the forum seem sleazy & "cheap." Another thing I noticed, members who start these threads often ask for it to be deleted after a certain amount of time b/c they realize it was a bad idea

Yeah . Because it is . Many members themselves want to be models and can be unnecessarily mean and unrealistically critical. And even most of the well meaning ones don't know anyway . Once they find all this out they almost always want it deleted anyway and like you said it does distract and make us look "cheap"....so...what do we do ?

Hmm...I guess we could have a rule saying, starting thread or inquiring whether a member themselves or their associate is attractive is not allowed???

Of course one of my side goals is to make the model ID subforum more manageable. I have the 10 steps to getting your requests ID'ed. And I noticed that fashionmodeldirectory has pictures on the side of their threads. This gave me the idea to have a "ID Picture Directory". So in the event someone is in the mood to try to ID but doesn't feel like clicking on a bunch of threads, they could just scroll down a page with pics and links. I could start oldest to newest and just do a little at a time. Just a thought .

I would only do a little at a time. Maybe 5-10 per setting more than likely .

Also, does anyone know of an image host with thumbnails that doesn't have porn popups and porn advertisements ? Some members are complaining about this so I assumed it was a general problem.

Thats a good idea, I was actually thinking about on the model thread setting it up so that if you hold your mouse over the threadname you will get a little headshot of the model. That way you dont have to click into the threads of girls (or guys) that you have no interest in.

I also have a more top secret plan which should help ID models more quickly if my friend ever finishes his project auto ID models for known pics

Members are having problem uploading their avatar & personal picture. Either the picture doesn't show up or the system tell them the file is too large (something about exceeding the global limit)

I added the announcement b/c the topic often lead to heated discussions which then lead to baiting and bashing

So what are some realistic suggestions you have regarding this issue?

Could someone show me where in the rules it says not to start a thread for porn stars? That's been said a lot but I read it says not to post porn itself and not to make threads for Playboy models (who haven't crossed over to regular media). The reason I'm asking is someone started a thread for a porn star and the thread has regular photoshoot pics. But in the event the thread has to be deleted I like to have an actual reference to the rule .
