Why are they even discussing this in your thread homeslice?
Anyways apart from murduk pissign you off how you doing?

Oh, the reason i posted that was just to make the point that wars kill more innocents then terrorists could even dream of. Thats the sad reality of things![]()

That's true, but sometimes you have to look at the long run. But I'm tired of talking about it...
So Mr. Madone, how was your day??? Can I have a slice of pie, homeslice?

My day was good, i got to sleep in then I have chilled most of the day. Tired from a long work week

The power came back on, but the cable and cell phones still don't work...and the road is flooded big time, plus it's still raining.
The whole generator thing is too cute.

That's fucked up if he did say it. Anybody who says something like that is no better than a terrorist. Who, btw, said that Katrina was God lashing out against an arrogant America. Who are they, who hold so tightly to their twisted and perverted views of the Muslim religion, to try to understand God?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
It's like KKK members saying that it was justice that the tsunami wiped out asians because God is white or something like that...
I have a sneaking suspicion(?) that some KKK member was thinking that ![]()

Hope you're doing well Liz ![]()
and no, I don't need anyone killed...yet

thanks for accusing me as being worse than a terrorist cain....really i appreciate it....as if its not hard being middle eastern.

If you don't consider the natural disasters justice, as you recently stated you didn't, then I don't believe he was referring to you. And Once again *no* one said it isn't hard being middle eastern. Gosh. That's getting sort of annoying, no offense. I believe he meant someone who said that We-Americans-deserve this because of "bad" things we did in the past were as bad as terrorists. And in a way, I'd have to agree. Anyone who wishes harm on a countryof just as many innocent people as their own is as bad a s a terrorist of whatever race. That is just not *right*.
BlueEyedBaby, I know you don't know me but I understand why you're pyssed, and frankly, I've been becoming more annoyed with this stuff myself. But anyway, don't leave. No one wants you to leave, besides, I have a feeling there are very few republicans on this board and I'm one of them and so you shouldn't leave! LoL. But I hope everything will be restored soon. I got back from New Orleans with my church and I know how it hurts to have someone say the things that were sad. Frankly, It should upset any American. (And no, Neo, I am not directing this at you, I'm giving you the benefit of a doubt that you didn't mean the same things as that one poster)
Natural disasters do not equal justice. Innocent people dying during war does not equal justice. But always, in the pursuit of justice, innocent people will be harmed, effected in some way. Justice can and often will be reached but unfortunately, sometimes it takes innocent victims as well. It goes for anything. A drug addict mother being arressted for selling/buying drugs and her child is orphaned-a victim in the pursuit of justice. The mother deserved to be arrested and put away, because of her helping the drug business prosper and expand but her child certaintly didn't deserve his, her fate. (That was only an example, not trying to get into and weird arguments springing from this)
Guess what people? Americans aren't evil. I'm tired of it being suggested that they are. Wars happen. Every friggin race on the planet has been involved in some bloody war, every race has murdered, every race has bled, every race has been a victim at one point. It's how it goes because we all live in an imperfect world and things are *never* going to change. It just *won't* because in order to change, everyone would have to be perfect. They aren't. Why the bloody hell do people forget to notice the good people do? America has benifitted many, many, many people. Sure, Officials have made mistakes throughout our entire history but for God's sake, there are mistakes in every country's history. Big, Powerful America has been victim too! And damn straight we're going to protect ourselves if attacked. This war never started out as a war on Iraq. It's a war on terrorism. A global war. And Iraq has a large amount of terrorists (Including Sadaam himself who was a terrorist agains this own people) and so Bush started there. Start with the big bully and work your way from there. He never said "Er, yeah, so um-the terrorists that hijaked the plane were from iraq, so-we're going to go ahead and start bombing there" Nope. There are terrorist cells all over the middle east and I'm *not* being racist in saying that. I've studied a great deal about the culture and there is a strong hatred for americans among alot of the entire culture-I did a paper on it and interviewed severeal iraqi, afhgan men and women and they all said that America is looked at by many as a great evil, immoral place-Not just America but much of the West. And this was before 9/11 ever happened. Because frankly, American and Europe are pretty damned immoral in general. But being spoken of as evil breeds strong emotions agains those countries from many people-because we -as humans-not as races-are taught to hate evil.
And before anyone says that I don't know how it feels because I'm not assyrian or iraqi or whatever, I have lost so many family members who have fought for *my* country-our country. And yeah, this war included. I got to change the bandages of my cousin's stumps where his legs used to be before a suicide bomber decided to blow himself up along with American soldier and Iraqi civilians. And he's dead now. Because he shot himself in the head because he couldn't bare the thought of me taking care of him for the rest of his life. So We've lost too. I-an American-have lost. My cousin lost. We all lose, it's how it goes. I'm probably younger than most of the people on this board but I figured crap out pretty damned early and I've seen a hell of a lot and this whole damned discussion is pretty angering.
Everyone's so bloody used to hearing what a crap president Bush that no one blinks twice at it. That's pretty friggin screwed up. Disagree or agree, he's your president if you live in America and that's not going to change. So instead of bad talking him, perhaps pray for him. Maybe that'd be a nice, positive, good thing to do. I didn't care for Clinton, and I didn't like Kerry but if Kerry had won, I'd not be saying what an imbecile he is and how he can't do anything right because he's a democrat and I'm a republican. I'd pray for him and hope he chose to do what was best for our country.
Side note: Back during the civil war, half of this *great* (And yes, I do mean great, no sarcasm there) country or more thought *that* war was a crap idea and it was such a terrible, terrible thing. But I dunno about you, but I'm pretty damn glad we fought for that. Innocent people died in that, too. Maybe in the future, this war will be looked back on a little differently. Who knows?
Sorry if soem of this is very ranty but I haven't slept in about 74 hours and I'm entirely annoyed by some of what I've seen (Not that anyone cares, lol) so forgive any ranting that has nothing to do with whatever is going on. And also sorry for being so damned pyssed off because I'm usually a very nice, happy, easy going person but I broke three toes last night and have to hobble around. Hobbling makes you angry, darn it, trust me!!!!!! ![]()
