Beckham Has No Madrid Regrets
David Beckham has said that he has no regrets about opting to join Real Madrid, despite not winning trophies during his first three seasons at the club.
The English midfielder moved to the Spanish giants from Manchester United in 2003 and is about to complete his final campaign before moving LA Galaxy.
Despite spending vast sums on superstar players, Madrid's last piece of major silverware was the league championship at the end of the 2002-03 season.
"It is a surprise Real Madrid haven't won anything," Beckham said. "They have had some of the best players in the world, especially during my first year there.
"There was Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, Raúl and so many more."
Beckham arrived in the summer that coach Vicente Del Bosque and 16 squad members left and the era of los Galácitos began.
After tasting regular success at Old Trafford, the 31-year-old expected to add to his haul at the Berbnabéu, but has been unable to help guide the club to glory.
"It is hard to take that I haven't won anything but I don't really regret my decision to go to Spain and Real Madrid," he added.
"The lack of success is just one of those situations you can't explain. But I've enjoyed my time there and I've loved the fans."

Becks: No Real regrets
David Beckham has stated he has no regrets over leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid, despite a lack of success in Spain.
The former England captain has won no major trophies with the Liga giants and only has a Spanish Super Cup medal to show for his efforts to date.
Beckham is surprised by the side's lack of success in recent years considering the calibre of player they have had in their squad.
The former Red Devil, who is joining LA Galaxy this summer, is disappointed he has not won anything major in Spain, but stands by his decision to leave the Premiership.
"It is a surprise Real Madrid haven't won anything," revealed Beckham. "They have had some of the best players in the world, especially during my first year there.
"There was Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo, Roberto Carlos, Raul and so many more.
"It is hard to take that I haven't won anything but I don't really regret my decision to go to Spain and Real Madrid.
