I read a bit of the book. I do know about her dad. So sad But Janice is a big strong woman. Go Janice.

her book reminds me of another book that i read while in high school

the book called "child called IT "

it was eed there was an abosive mother a dn father left the house becouse he could not hendel it

did not even take a kid with him

and by the end of the second book father and mother were both in jail

i fell so sad when i talk about child abuse

somw people are just sick and the god should not give them children at all

no life guard on duty

and that book is great

in the last chapter i think really showed that she knows who she is

and i adore her and is the model of the models

Janice Dickinson on the cover of Vogue.Janice Doreen Dickinson (born February 17, 1953 in Brooklyn, New York), is a former supermodel of Polish and Belarusian descent who started modeling at the age of 14. At 5'10", she has appeared on the covers of Vogue, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar Swimsuit Issue, Cosmopolitan and Playboy. She has also appeared in ads for Revlon, Max Factor and Clairol. Dickinson is the author of three books, including No Lifeguard on Duty: The Accidental Life of the World's First Supermodel, Everything About Me Is Fake... And I'm Perfect and Check, Please! : Dating, Mating, and Extricating. Besides writing and modeling, she is a photographer and a mother of two, Nathan and Savannah. She has been divorced 3 times. Her former husbands are Ron Levy, Alan B. Gersten, and Simon Fields.

Dickinson claims to have coined the title "supermodel" and therefore proclaims herself to be the world's first supermodel (although the term was first used regarding Jean Shrimpton in the 1960s[1]).

Dickinson is upfront about her extensive plastic surgery. "Everything about me is fake" as the title of her book proclaims. The US book cover lists her numerous "enhancements."[2] Dickinson also talks about the physical and sexual abuse she and her sister, Alexis, suffered at the hands of her late father, Ray Dickinson, when she was young.

She has appeared on 37 covers of Vogue. Dickinson also starred as a judge on the reality TV series America's Next Top Model during the first four seasons. After quitting (or possibly being fired) in the spring of 2005, she was replaced by Twiggy. She appeared in the fifth season as the photographer for one episode's photoshoot (with the theme of the photoshoot being plastic surgery). Dickinson has expressed disapproval for the winners of America's Next Top Model, saying that they do not have enough potential to be successful.

i know! she said its been one of her dreams to open up a modeling agency. i would kill to be a model for her agency. too bad i live in Missouri and not LA grrrrrrrr I cant wait to see her show about opening up the place when it comes on Oxygen on June 6.

np! i thought it was a rumor too. but then i actually saw the previews for it on the Oxygen channel. It looks funny, she all tells one model that they need a nose job, another that they walk like they have a broom up their ass. i cant wait lol

I love Janice!!! Read her books, No lifeguard I would really recommend, second book is fun too, but her first one is really good! Got into her via Gia! She is like a loose canon, I can see why people might not like her, but after reading her book, you understand where she is coming from.

She is a CRAZY SURVIVOR!!!! So what she is a little much sometimes! I love it!!! You go girl!!!!
