C'mon, cutebeatriz, your girl ain't all that high up as far as models go!!! Sure, she has the goods, but she probably the least popular of all the Brazilian models!!! I'm kinda surprised that Tyra wasn't in the top 5, since she created ANTM and now has her own TV talk show. However, her modeling career is almost over, she I can understand why she didn't make the list.

I think Naomi and Kate and Heidi should be retired as "Today's Hottest", especially Naomi and Kate since they had their big time almost 10 years ago. I know they are still working models, but my list would have been different.

How did they come up with that list? I mean, I've heard Gisele is the biggest model today (from other sources), but Kate Moss AND Naomi Campbell in the top 5? If you look at the Forbes list of powerful celebrities, Heidi Klum routinely comes up #1 among models. Their list is based on income, movie, tv & radio appearances, newspaper & magazine articles, and web hits. Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell are nowhere to be found. Even on the VH1 show, they said Heidi made $16 million in the last two years, whereas Adriana (who beat Heidi on the list) only makes $4 million a year.

I could see Naomi and Kate Moss on a list of "Top Supermodels of All-Time", but not on a list of the hottest of today. I hadn't heard anything about either one of them in the last 2 years, except for Kate's recent snorting problem. And putting Heidi at #5 was insulting.

have to disagree with everyone about kate. idk where people are getting she's nowhere to be found. pick up a fashion magazine...she's everywhere even nowadays. this season she was in the dior, rimmel, h.stern, burberry, and vanderbilt. her coco mademoiselle ads are still featured pretty heavily as well. she lands covers constantly. november issue of W anyone? she was supposed to guest edit paris vogue i believe. (not sure if thats still in the works given the drug thing) she was going to be the face of H&M but has been replaced thanks to her drug problem

on forbes list this past year, it went as follows:

1. gisele

2. heidi

3. tyra

4. kate

5. adriana

soooo the statement that kate moss was not on the list is inaccurate and anyone who doesnt think that kate moss should be on the list only has to pick up a copy of vogue to realize otherwise

well I kinde of HAVE to disagree. I mean specielly the past months she has done soo much for soo many diffrent brands, she has done Rocca Wear, J LO, Diesel VERY known brands in th U.S and Europe! I don't really know but she has been around for years now, and done jobs for all from high fashion brands to unknown brands, well well--------

i think that part of the reason why tyra wasn't on the list is that she really isn't so much of a supermodel anymore. you know? she's just a celebrity at this point. she doesn't do editorials/ads/campaigns/runway shows at all anymore. just the VS show and a few VS pics every year. but really as far as celebrity goes, she's probably more well known that any of the other girls -- but as far as supermodel, not so much. though heidi klum is in the exact same situation. so if they included her, then tyra shoulda been there too.

i agree with OriginalSin about Kate. she is without question the most ubiquitous model, even still. sike Sin said, she's contantly in every magazine, has a cosmetics contract, multiple campaigns, and is still an iconic trendsetter in the fashion world.

i think that tyra would have been featured more on the show, except that it was called "the fabulous life of..." and we know that tyra is a homebody who doesn't do all the "fab" things that naomi et al enjoy.

naomi is the ruler of the "fabulous life". i mean, just take the last VS show for example. she had broken 2 fingers, so whereas any normal person would have wrapped them up, she went out and bought a custom made DIAMOND finger holder. LMAOOO. she's a diva. and a diva has to be FABULOUS.

i think an accurate top 5 of today's hottest supermodels would have been:

1- Gisele

2- Naomi

3- Kate

4- Karolina

5- Adriana

Tyra and Heidi are celebrities, not models anymore. If they were to be included, then I would have bumped KK and Adriana off and made it:

1- Gisele

2- Heidi

4- Naomi

I still think Kate had her time 10 years ago. Yes, she is a working model and doing lots of things, but I think that spot deserves to go to another girl ... like Natalia Vodianova who has been huge these last few years or even Alessandra Ambrosio.

Most people still dont even know who Natalia is. No way does she deserve to be on a list for VH1, which appeals to the masses.

I think giving it to a newer girl, just for the sake of giving it to a newer girl isnt the best idea. Kate is on top, has been for years now. Most people know who she is. She isnt just a working model, she is at the top of her game. She's on the list because she is popular both with the masses and in the fashion industry itself. It's arguable that she should've been number 1 on the list. Certainly she's a greater model than Gisele, but I know VH1 isnt attempting to assess a model's value as a model but rather how appealing she is at the moment I suppose. Still Kate is a fashion icon. And beloved by many. So I think she certainly deserves to be on the list.

I'm not suprised that Ana wasn't mentioned, but i hate that she isn't. I think she is just incredible. She doesn't have the recognition she deserves. Of course, VH1 didn't base their list on models ability to model (or else Adri wouldn't have been on the list) but on popularity. i can understand why they made the list that they did. You took the words rite out of my mouth!! But to add to that, I find it weird how I believe in Brazil, Ana is top 1 or 2 favorite amongst all the Brazilians. Then here in the USA, she's not on the radar at all. It makes me as hell!!

Ana is one of the favorite models is Brazil, but over here she isn't as big. It sort of pisses me off. But then again with so many brainless zombies following 'you know who' i'm not surprised.
