Smallville alum Kristin Kreuk has landed a role in a new CBS comedy pilot, Hitched.

The 27-year-old actress will star opposite I Love You Beth Cooper actor Jack Carpenter in the story of a newly married couple still learning about each other while surrounded by their family and friends. Eugene Levy was recently cast to play the groom’s father, according to THR.

Kristin Kreuk has reportedly been dropped from a new ABC comedy pilot.
The Smallville actress, who recently starred in Chuck, had signed up to play the female lead in Hitched.
However, Deadline Hollywood claims that the project's producers replaced Kreuk with Secret Girlfriend star Sara Fletcher just before the table read.
Hitched is being produced by Josh Schwartz, who has also worked on Chuck, Gossip Girl and The O.C..
It follows a newlywed couple dealing with their family and friends and also stars Jack Carpenter, Eugene Levy and Kurtwood Smith.
